Our Story

Swartout Dental was founded by Dr. Jack Swartout, a Brownsburg resident who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2017 — one of the most respected dental programs in the Midwest. Before that, Dr. Swartout completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Wabash College in 2012, building the scientific foundation that underpins his precise, evidence-based approach to dentistry. He didn't just choose Brownsburg as a place to open a practice — he chose it as the place to raise his family, coach schedules, and be a neighbor. That commitment to the community isn't a marketing line; it's the reason the practice exists.

What sets Swartout Dental apart from larger group practices is the continuity of care that comes from seeing the same dentist, in the same office, every single visit. Dr. Swartout is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society — meaning his clinical knowledge is continuously updated through the most rigorous professional networks in the field. His team, including Valerie and Kristy, has been carefully selected to match his philosophy: thorough, unhurried appointments where patients are heard before they're treated.
